The Palmetto Foundation existed to place knowledge of the political process back in to the hands of the people who created it. Through monitoring and composing legislation within the General Assembly, to municipal council decisions in each region of the state, to observing elected and appointed leaders, The Palmetto Foundation sought to return non-partisan, conservative values in all phases of the political process via education.

The Purpose of "Nullification, Secession, and John Caldwell Calhoun: The Philosophy and Thought Which Led a State" is to examine the significant impression Calhoun’s ideas had on the policies of South Carolina preceding The War Between the States by briefly summarizing Calhoun’s background to serve as a point of reference and surveying his attitudes and actions in both his earlier and later career (with emphasis on the latter) in terms of what I have labeled "Key’s Paradox."

"The South Carolina General Assembly: The Changing Demographic Characteristics of a Southern Legislature from 1970-1996" was authored to examine the changing demography of the South Carolina General Assembly from the convening of the legislative sessions for the years 1970 to 1996. This study will consist of analysis of attributes of General Assembly members (in each chamber) in terms of gender, race, political party affiliations, places of birth, and occupations.

The purpose of this exposition, "A Survey Of Negative Political Campaign Advertising", is to give a broad-based examination of political campaign advertising. Although there will be some historical background given on the subject, the basis of the paper will actually focus on campaign ads of more recent times.

The purpose of "The World Trade Organization and the Dissolution of American Sovereignty" is to illustrate how the WTO is removing America’s national sovereignty, not just in theory, but in practice as well. By offering a brief overview of the history, duties, existence, and actions of the WTO, there is no possible view that can be taken other than the "supreme law of the land" is being reduced to nothing more than a document only schoolchildren will learn of in history class.

The Greenville Journal article in the December 3, 1999 issue, "In-Plant Agencies Changing Traditional Business Relationships" discusses the innovative methods used by Experience Engineering and the way in which  those methods became more than a theory for a high-technology company.
