WHENEVER YOU'RE IN GREENVILLE, CHECK OUT THE CATS. No. I don't mean that ridiculous play that should have never made it to Broadway. I'm talking about Bill and Susan Smith and the rest of the folks at Greenville's Cafe And Then Some who give us the best humor about ourselves and our pompous attitudes as Greenvillians.
Politicians, "off Augusta Road" types (A.K.A. "Roadies"), Junior Leaguers, Yankees, and everyone else who's ever graced this Shangri-La we call Greenville County are targets for Cafe's pointed local humor. As a beneficiary of that "road that connects the old K-Mart to the Mauldin K-Mart," even the Golden Strip proudly made the grade.
If you don't get a joke, ask someone to explain it. If you can't laugh at yourself, go to a movie instead. If you think we take life (and ourselves) too seriously and you want a great meal, too, make your reservations on-line or call Cafe And Then Some at 864/232-CATS(2287).
Tell Norma Jean and Bubba we said, "Hey." |
